Graduated hs with 4.0+, went to community college then state college, worked through college at pizza and coffee. Got a history degree, then teaching certificate; taught high school for most of a decade; got a masters in ed along the way. Relocated, transferred my credential, but got a different non-teaching job in public service for a few years, then a different one. Construction related.

If you want to always be employable wherever you live, food service, hair/beauty, and the trades are the way to go. Turns out, I like construction, so if I could do it all over, I'd probably be an electrician
