I'm also jobless. Largely due to my disability. It's really hard to keep down a job with schizophrenia. I thought it'd be because people notice our symptoms and fire us, but for me I just can't handle most work environments. I worked at an eye doctor for a little bit, and left after a couple months. There were a lot of reasons (one of the docs claimed HIPAA was just a suggestion) but I also really had a hard time functioning in the environment. After that, I had a cleaning job for a few years, but ultimately I was near having a complete breakdown (there were a few times where breaking down in tears halfway through was common) and I left that job too.
