yeah but they still don't typically take (permanent) harm when they fall. i.e. faster regeneration, lower body mass (therefore lower impact momentum) and better strength-to-mass ratio overall.

consider how insects can literally fall off the roof of a skyscraper without hurting themselves, because smaller organisms have better mechanical stats in relation to their body mass. something about laws of physics.
