True competitions are constructed in such a way as to make the game as fair as possible. Referees are put in place to prevent unfair tactics. Rules are changed when they advantage some teams over others. And when done effectively, camaraderie and entertainment are maximized, because that's the point of playing the game. Competition abhors unfairness. Capitalism, on the other hand, is designed to produce unequal outcome, to build monopoly, to rig the rules to favor one at the expense of the rest. Competition is only present (in distorted form ofc) in the early stages of capitalism.
