But that may have been a local dealership thing or some kind of joint venture deal. They have never owned the other, though. Subaru had a joint venture plant with Isuzu in Indiana which was called "Subaru Isuzu Automotive," where they have manufactured or still manufacture the Subaru Ascent, Crosstrek, and Forester. Nothing with Suzuki though. Mitsubishi is currently owned by Nissan. Hyundai has sold rebadged Mitsubishis before, and Mitsubishi has sold rebadged Suzukis before. Mazda is the parent company of itself and currently has a joint venture plant in Alabama with Toyota.
