Hope it takes off
The need to utilize capitalist infrastructure for effective agitprop has been profoundly debilitating. Alternatives like Lemmy have carved out niches thanks to volunteer labor and the increasingly shitty experience of corpororate social media. But they tend to find themselves isolated and underresourced.
And Youtube is an unchallenged behemoth that still has a lot of convenience and ubiquity runway to go before its shittiness is bad enough to chase off a critical mass of its users (and Alphabet knows this).
An alternative video platform going mainstream that's less hostile to leftism could be a substantial boon
