Just don't buy the game if you object to it. permalink fedilink source hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] 87Six@lemmy.zip 5 points 4 days ago (1 child) "Just don't own a slave if you hate slavery" I know it's way out of scope but you get it. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Smaile@lemmy.ca -1 points 3 days ago I mean, yah, don't if you object to it. permalink fedilink source parent [–] creamfresh@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago (1 child) does not compute in gamer logic permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Almacca@aussie.zone -1 points 4 days ago The downvotes say it all. permalink fedilink source parent [–] nyctre@piefed.social 4 points 4 days ago (1 child) Not buying the game costs the company 80€. This costs them more. I don't know if they're actually doing it for the reasons they claim, but if they are.. it makes sense and I support it. Hell, even if they're not, they're still drawing attention to it, so... Fuck rockstar. The more people are aware of how shitty they are, the better. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Almacca@aussie.zone 2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) I'm all for letting people know how shitty Rockstar are as a company, but that's been well known for a long time now. If people aren't aware of it, they aren't paying attention. And even when they are aware of it, they'll still buy the game. This, however is not how you do that. This just reeks of a scam. Cyberleek said it's "raising funds for a secret project," presumably through the sale of a memecoin—of course there's a memecoin—which will be "directed toward the infrastructure needed to strike, as well as the security and protection required to withstand the inevitable corporate counterattacks." And just leaking footage and complaining about it not being on a disc isn't doing it either. permalink fedilink source parent
