Just switch to an electronic ignition, improved coil, and spark and it's as peppy and efficient as fuel injection. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 point 3 weeks ago* efficient as fuel injection That's quite wrong. permalink fedilink source parent [–] boonhet@lemmy.zip 1 point 3 weeks ago* (1 child) Yes, carbs are great if you love working on cars. A factory fuel injection system these days (anything newer than the old Jetronic pieces of shit) is pretty much set it and forget it, plus if you do have a bad sensor or something, it'll usually tell you (by live data reading if not DTC). Way easier to maintain than carburetors. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 point 3 weeks ago Carburetors waste a lot of fuel. permalink fedilink source parent
