So, 50% of the population is responsible for the horrors the other 50% perpetrated on the world? Talk about blaming the victim.

I don't know where you live, or how old you are, but I have a feeling that you should probably keep your opinions to yourself until you have a little more to stand on, because that was a terrible take.

My impression is that the left just kind of petered out around the 1980s, because there was a broadly felt sense that "everyone is middle class now" - leaving the US with a "leftist" party that really was more "moderately conservative", and a Republican party that was fumbling its way closer and closer to fascism, via "populist" conservatism.

To quote the usual phrase: Republicans are the reason things got worse, Democrats are the reason things did not get better. I think that's what people are getting at. If you want to get out of this situation, the US needs Democrats who actually want to make things significantly and noticeably better - and Democrats who stand in the way of that, are part of the problem.

The dems are still in congress voting yes enough that trump gets most of his policies through. They should be voting no on everything and shutting the government down because a literal genocidal maniac who rapes children is the president.

Listen, lil bruh, degrading comments leave you with less stand on because they're hollow and cheap. Maybe if the Democowards had more to stand on in 2024 beyond being a four-year pause button instead of actually furthering socialist policies that benefit anyone, people would give enough of a shit to leave the house in November.

I'd camp out in the parking lot for AOC.

The DNC didn't drive down engagement, the "both sides", the "Kamala is a cop", and the "Kamala Supports Genocide" people did. Things like that only further the GOP agenda. I don't want another repeat of the last 4 years, so I don't really give a shit if they run Kamala again or Hunter Biden, because literally anything is better than what we have now. Is AOC a better candidate? Yes, no doubt. But in a year and a half, ifshe's running, people like you will find some flaw in her policy and claim she's just another "corpodemocrat mouthpiece."
