the recent elections throughout latin american and southern asia proves that the us empire is still really good at intervening throughout the world without weapons stockpiles.

American financial strength forms the basis for these interventions though, and that's rapidly evaporating as well. Just look at the whole fiasco with yen carry trade unwinding.

my financial literacy is too weak to let me understand what's happening with the yen despite a couple efforts and I still only have a vague sense of its implications.
