My actual router has been running OpenWRT for a long time now, but I really ought to put it on my wireless access points, too.

I also ought to finally look into OpenWISP (which, as I understand it, is a Free Software alternative to things like Omada or UniFi).

OpenWISP does seem cool, but I can only find info about deploying it in cloud services....

Nope, I don’t think so, Ubiquiti devices aren’t in the OpenWRT compatibility list, sadly.

Sorry, I meant OpenWISP is an alternative to UniFi in the sense that it's the same category of software, not necessarily that it runs on the same devices.
