He saw Iran as a quick win too though

I don't agree. I think the Israeli's needed breathing room to move forward with the Greater Israel project. The US was brought in to disrupt the Iranian support of Hamas. It was never about winning. It's about providing military assistance to Israel for colonisation of the Middle East.

@Tango@piefed.ca makes a lot of good points. The EU is currently funneling billions into the Eastern front. If the US was to set up shop in Greenland. Could the EU meaningfully push back. They are so entwined with the US any type of war would be a disaster, trade or otherwise.

If the US seriously invades Greenland there's not a lot Europe can do. Almost all EU tech infrastructure relies on US companies. They'd be fucked.

Strap in. It's about to get even worse.

I used win because that's what was used in the comment I replied to.

I was just pointing out that the Iran conflict was not intended to be long engagement either.

If Trump thinks invading Greenland is going to be a quick engagement that's also as much of a miscalculation as thinking Iran would be quick.

Further more I don't disagree that good points were made. If the US declares ownership of Greenland that will be the next chapter world warfare.

Strap in indeed. And I for one will go fight it

Even more urgency to make ourselves more independent from US tech companies. What is Europe going to do when Microsoft or MasterCard sanctions us? Yeah, exactly. Time to implement alternatives. Monopolies make us all weak and easy to control.
