Australia has recorded its biggest-ever quarterly surge in electric vehicle sales.

Across April, May and June, nearly one in every two vehicles sold was either electric or hybrid.

Liberal deputy Jane Hume says the figures show EV subsidies introduced by the government in 2023 had grown "out of control".

I am not rage replying, I am just pointing it out because of the emergence of chuds posting a shit take then go "haha it's just sarcasm" when the reaction goes badly, like tuning the racism dial like the price is right.

Also FYI, I am not the one downvoting any of the comments in the chain, there are ways because votes in lemmy are public.
