there's no evidence for either, but do you mean "off somewhere in the universe at all" or "visiting earth"?
kinda hard to have an orthodox position on something that has never been observed.
The former.
The Marxist position would be who gives a fuck. If it doesn't affect life here and has no possible way of doing so in the conceivable future then it is as good as non-existent.
I mean, it's both. There's the aliens out there and there's also jemfrey the venusian who lives in my bathtub
