a few thousand years ago means the ecosystem is probably still around sans turtle, just need to recreate the turtle and reintroduce it to nature.* we could have kangaroos looking at turtles again

If it was a mammoth the heat would kill it but it's a reptile, they would be okay if (I assume) we hadn't kill them
