Honestly, they should not ban them, and then just low-key encourage enterprising attendees to pwn the devices and any attached accounts. That would be delightful.

Just saying there’s not a guarantee all versions will be crackable, the cost of having to deal with a bunch of those at the convention in perpetuity doesn’t seem worth the reward of dunking on a minority of them.
