New cars are often sold with shitty tires and batteries to lower the purchase cost. 4 years is not unreasonable to replace them on a new car.

My Lexus hybrid has the original 12V battery now for 10 years.

As a "known issue" all you have to do is put a 12v battery booster in your car for those emergencies. Or put your 12v battery on a trickle charger occasionally.

My old Alfa Romeo Giulia ICE car did this once, luckily while I was at home. The car was a little over year old and overnight somehow flattened the battery. Nothing was left on, no open doors/boot open, just some kind of software glitch.
