This is a false dichotomy.

You can support enforcing immigration law while still opposing how ICE conducts some of its operations. In fact, that's the position many people take.

The strongest opposition to ICE comes from the political left, particularly progressive Democrats and immigration advocacy groups. Their criticism is generally directed at tactics like large-scale raids, detention practices, due process concerns, and the scope of the agency's authority. Some want major reforms; a smaller number want the agency abolished altogether.

Meanwhile, Republicans and many conservatives overwhelmingly support ICE, arguing that it's carrying out laws passed by Congress and is an essential part of immigration enforcement.

So pretending there's some universal consensus either for or against ICE is just inaccurate. The agency is one of the most politically polarized institutions in the country. Whether someone supports it, wants it reformed, or wants it abolished depends largely on their political views, not on some objective, settled fact.
