Fair point but you will have to then move the line to "all Americans" instead of "all men".

If all men normalized this the comment section would look wildly different.

    We've got men musing about how "naturally consensual" 14 year olds are with absolutely no moderation stepping in.

    You can pretend like this isn't a common thing amongst a wide swath of men, but you're wrong. It's not just Americans.

    There's a lot of sexist and misogynistic views that are not only allowed to be kept up on Lemmy, but are highly upvoted and supported by the men here.

    Some men do normalize this and the comment sections do reflect it often.

    I just posted an article you might find illuminating. Groups of men collaborating online to masturbate and cum on women in public to humiliate them.

    They use online forums to bolster and lift each other up, encouraging each other to violate women for their own satisfaction and then share with the group.

    Again, I could pull the comments about how hot a rape victim is from the womensstuff community if you’d like.

    I know there’s quite a few users here that I could easily find comments joking about rape and threatening to rape someone. I’ve got some in my own DMs!

    The only blatant rape apologia I have seen on Lemmy was when Graham Platner raped a Republican woman but even the female valiant allies of women like Emma Vigeland were totally on board with that so clearly not a men problem either.

    There was a lot of rape apologia when it was known Platner raped multiple women, not just the Republican.
