I cook and my girl does the dishes because I’m terrible at dish management and when I’m done there’s dishes everywhere. Our system works well for us. She gets good food and I don’t have to do dishes. Win win.
How can people live without a dishwasher
I’ve lived without a dishwasher multiple times in my adult life. We actually just sold our house that had a decent sized kitchen and moved into a small apartment on the other side of the country and now the mess is even more concentrated and there’s no dishwasher. So our system is even more of a necessity now lol
Only use ours on Holidays. I clean as I cook so by the time we eat there's only the dishes left and that's 3 .. costs me zero in electric and I know if they've been cleaned or not.
This is the system we use. I cook every few days with big portions of leftovers.. She does the dishes, she says that I don't load the dishwasher efficiently.
Synergy! We do the same thing at our house, but I've gotten pretty good at minimizing the mess. One trick I use is serving everyone first, then using the same dish that held the cooked food as my own plate.
It’s more of an issue of using a lot of dishes to make the food 😅 there’s barely any dishes left to eat with when I’m done! Exaggerating, but sometimes there actually isn’t, I’m adhd af in the kitchen, but at least the food turns out good lol.
