If you include revisionists and reactionaries, maybe Noam Chomsky. He was the first "leftist" USian that I heard about.

    "Westerners" refers to people in the global north both here and in common parlance. Latin Americans will say this is not true but that's just because they think being catholic somehow exempts them from being neocolonial subjects.
