And so ultimately you have to make a choice whether that goes into moderation and maintenance, or development. Also remember that the fediverse isn't generally paid to be run and addict more and more people. It's a service for those who want to use it. As long as the contents are accessible from the instance I'm on and they don't have me blocked etc. Then what does it matter if I'm on said instance? As long as the instance itself does what I need? In Pug's case they are a mass moderator and poster. Which for them presents different difficulties.
