It's brilliantly shot, and the way they portray the dynamic of a gaslight and downtrodden wife versus the bumbling manchild husband that you see in shows like Family Guy and The Simpsons is a brilliant critique of the dominant male and the societal currents that support it.

Hell, the way that the husband absorbs the contradictions arising from their relationship into reinforcing this dynamic is very reflective of how neoliberalism absorbs and co-opts its contradictions and used fascism to close ranks when under threat.

Yep, and it really hits home that Kevin's life never has to be serious or difficult. It's a brilliant metaphor for his class position and how it enables him to absorb contradictions around him.
