Feel free to walk away and make sure another fucking republican fascist takes over...that will make everything better...

Do I want someone better? yes. If she's on the ticket am I going to vote for her? Also yes, hell fucking yes.

Anyone with a D next to their name gets my vote this year, I'm not fucking around.

Brother the fucking primaries havent evem started and you're starting with the 'you dont get to vote for who you want' shit. You keep giving them cover they'll keep using it to lose elections. Kamala lost every swing state and has never won a single primary delagate via ballot and you're acting like shes inevitable? Kick rocks.

I follow one rule - vote the furthest 'left' in every election, but VOTE.

Last thing I'm going to do is stay home and allow the fascists another 4 years to destroy this fucking country.

True, but this far before the election there should still be momentum for someone further to the left than Newsom.

Another four years of a centrist Democrat is just stalling for four years before the Heritage Foundation manages to install another Republican on the backs of American transphobes and racists to push the country even further away from where it needs to be.

My hope is that 4 more years of a centrist in the White house will give the far left a chance to make their case... Mamdani is a great example of that case... Steady progress is going to win..

As I've said before, were a center-left country. Regardless of what's best, that's the best we're going to do until people get educated on the subject....

That's literally what we've been doing and it hasn't ever worked out like that.

When Dems don't do enough, people go back to voting R.

SO show up and vote in the primaries I will too. but if your guy doesn't win, don't accelerate the fascist victories by getting your panties in a bunch and staying home.

Garbage. We see how establishment dems react to progressive primary winners.

Hey I'm excited about the state of Democratic socialists winning. If one shows up on the general ballot in Virginia I'll gladly vote for them.

But if I have to choose between a centrist and someone like trump, I'm gonna choose the centrist every time. Sometimes the lesser of two evils is quite a lot less fucking evil apparently.

And this is how they keep getting worse, blind devotion with no risk of consequences. The VBNMW cult is worse than MAGA

It's not blind devotion, it's self preservation. It's "Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good"

This is a center-left country, that's a fact. Would I vote for AOC for president in a primary? Absolutely. If she doesn't win am I going to throw up my hands and give up? Hell no.

Seeking to punsh the country because your guy / girl didn't get in is childish.

Forty years of lesser evils have got us where we are.

No...just a few years of people not showing up is what got us here.

You chose more evil over less evil. Not voting is choosing to let other people decide for you. It's an abdication of responsibility.

Nope. It’s been decades of kabuki by the uniparty and people like you scolding the rest of us to vote blue no matter who.

    See https://www.commondreams.org/news/promise-to-america-funders

You were tricked. Deal with it.

If you don't want a say in the government, by all means don't vote.

You do you, I'm done holding my nose to vote and I absolutely will never vote for Republican light, controlled opposition establishment Democrats. I think many people agree with me.

Well know who to blame when trump light makes it in in 2028. It will all be on you. Could have stopped it and didn't will be carved on your tombstone.

ShredderrFeeder, I'm not voting for genociders of either party. I'll write in a third party name or leave my presidential vote blank. Its my vote, not yours, and I dont take criticism from people I dont respect. I dont respect people with your half assed helpless hostage logic. Feel free to cry or have a tantrum on the floor if it makes you feel better.

If you don't vote, you don't get a say. If you piss your vote away on someone who doesn't have a chance, you also don't get a say.

No crying, no tantrum. I am lucky in that I'm a middle-aged white-man so I likely won't have any issue survivng the next Trump..

But I feel sorry for the marginalized communities who WILL (and ARE) suffering.. They don't stand a chance if the republicans get another term..

If you don’t vote, you don’t get a say.

Progressives very much have a say in whether the DNC centrists get elected or not. Did you notice that our support comes with real strings now? We have wised up to the idea that the centrists dont give a crap about anyone or anything but the donors. But by some miracle they still need progressive votes, and cant squirm out of that no matter how hard they try. So the centrists will treat us like partners or the country burns, thats the deal. Thats us having a say. You dont have to like it. And your little "oh no minorities will suffer" bit is rich. They were already suffering under Biden/Harris and the DNC ignored them. Their suffering is not some sort of future condition. Wake the eff up.

An enormous group of what used to be the Dem base is absolutely right there with you. More than enough to destroy the DNC if they dont pull their heads out of their asses.
