The Central Asian country built a futuristic city to host the World's Fair and polish its own brand. One small problem: it forgot to invite guests.

This was in 2017. The one in 2025, Osaka let you stand in line for 3 hours to hear Saudi Arabia or Japanese gas talk about what they're doing for sustainability. Or you can pay 40USD for a plate of Polish food.
