Rules
AI Art: While we appreciate AI generated art, there are more appropriate communities to post that type of art to. Please keep posts to non-AI generated art only. This rule includes AI art that was then manually manipulated (e.g. drawing on top of something generated by AI).
NSFW Policy: Nudity and suggestive content has always been a part of art, but it may be something that some users don't wish to see or cannot view in certain circumstances (e.g. at work). If your work contains nudity or suggestive content, please mark it as NSFW. Work that contains nudity or suggestive content that is not marked as NSFW will be taken down. As long as the NSFW tag is used, we welcome nude or suggestive subject matter. If you aren't sure if your work is NSFW or not, just ask yourself, "Could I look at this at a typical office job and not get into trouble?" If you're still not sure after that, you should probably mark it as NSFW just to be on the safe side.
Spam: Please do not spam this community. Self promotion is fine if you just want people to be aware of your work, but blatant attempts at spam will result in the past being removed and possibly a ban. If you aren't sure if what you are posting is spam, please contact the moderator first.
Conduct: Be nice, and don't be a jerk. Constructive criticism is OK, but don't be mean. Encouragement is always welcomed.

I don't really even look at the hair since the face is so good. But since you asked, I think adding fine details would help if you want to spend the time. Use a fine, line brush to go over, under and around. Use them for the highlights and the shadows. Great job.
Thank you! Yeah that's what I figure I'll end up doing but I can't get the lines right for this type of hair yet. Just looks like a kid making swirls on his homework paper π
I see why that might be an issue. If you use a light touch and don't try to do each strand in it's entirety, but pick the highlights or the shadows of that strand, I think you'll love it. Look closely at her hair, it looks really coily, but it isn't when you get close up. There are strands going the wrong way that you can't tell where they came from or where they're going. I suggest using the technique you use for her face, meaning you go from all directions with spots of color, but for her hair and a line brush.
Edit: I think I like this idea too because of the contrast between the light strokes of color creating the face and then detail of the hair. Just thinking out loud.
I like where your head is at. Thank you!
YW, thanks for sharing your awesome work.
You're welcome! I'm just delighted people other than my wife and kids like it. Tickles me pink every time.
I still show my wife the comments regularly.
It really is amazing. The model kind of reminds me of Lisa Bonet, although I don't recall having seen her hair styled in that way. Bravo!
Wow, thank you!
As always, the pleasure is assuredly mine; exponentially since your art is a couples activity. Warms the cockles of muh heart.
OT: all healed up?
My wife brags on me often, I love it. I do the same of her.
And my arm is fully healed, my abdomen is about 6 weeks behind my arm or so. It's not ready for sunlight yet. Maybe in another month it will be.
But I don't go out shirtless. Just short sleeved. So for all intents and purposes I'm 100%!
My goodness, I'm falling in love with both of you! π
I'm so pleased to hear you're doing so well! ππππ
I don't blame you about going shirtless. Btw there was an article that a sunscreen that's been used in the EU for some time was recently approved by the US FDA. Probably nutty expensive, right now, but maybe not!
Interesting, what's it called? We just use whatever is SPF 50 or better.
And that's sweet, I tell her she's my favorite almost every day. Because she is!

But since it blocks UVB, I would definitely consult my PCP about proper vitamin D intake, since apparently UVB ray absorption by our skin is what prompts the body to produce vitamin D. I am not a doctor, so perhaps one will read this and offer their thoughts.
I'll take a look, and share it with my wife. She's allergic to the sun, gets bumps when she tans. Her constant avoidance has led to her looking much younger than me even though she's a bit older.
My gray beard doesn't help.
I had a family member with the same issue as your wife. It was savage.

Exactly!
A few years ago my wife and I went to ComicCon dressed as Ron and Leslie from Parks and Rec. I shaved my beard into a stash and it looked bad. The whole day people are staring at me like they're creeped out.
We went back the next day and not one person started at me and I still had the stash. But the "Ron" wig I had on my bald head was gone.
It looked that bad in retrospect π
Can we get a quick rough sketch? ππππ
My (very real) hair frequently looks like that. π€£π€£π€£π€£
Lol I'm sorry for your loss ππ
Me too, friend. Me too. π€£ππ€£π
It's nice not having bad hair days anymore. I'd end up with a gumby. Low on one side high on the other side for no damn reason.
Like when I wake up? π€£π€£
I keep derailing your lovely art posts with personal questions and natter. I'm sorry. And extremely entertained! π
I've hooted the whole time and will show my wife in the morning. She'll get a kick out of it! Night night!
With utmost sincerity and respect, I send you both well-wishes and love, across whatever distance between us, soul family. May you continue to be happy and well. Please give each other a big, strong hug, in my stead. Goodnight. π€
Lol. I've known people who were graying in secondary school, if it comforts you.
Same, and people with serious male pattern baldness in high school. And part of the reason I decided to not try to hide it. How will I know if I'm good at hiding it or just good at thinking I'm good at hiding it?
Awesome couple things too, you're doing it right.
Thank you ππ
