Dinner tonight was not Cockle Soup aka Ninety Mile Beach Soup. Another 1800s Gippsland pioneer recipe

there is no way in hell I'd ever collect shells to eat from just off the beach , maybe the far reaches of Ninety Mile Beach, but everywhere else is now a bit dodgy
