I watched her make it often enough, but never got the recipe My grand had it but long since passed. The flavor varied, as the fruit was candied and preserved in various alcohols (alcohol cooked out, flavor lingered), homemade . One year bourbon, others various fruit brandies, even rye, on one occasion (I didn't care much for that one), homemade butter, it was divine, especially warmed with a little butter and drizzle of honey atop!
