Ah so according to the last couple paragraphs in the last article you linked, Daveigh's heavily tattooed Mexican "boyfriend" made that GoFundMe taking advantage of Daveigh's fame to try to squeeze out $5k for himself, while really Daveigh had no financial problems, she had a trust fund, but wasn't allowed to access it while shitfaced on heroin & fentanyl.
Sad sad sad 😢
Excuse me, racist much? The guy in question is a shit stain on humanity, but that has shit to do with Mexicans or tattoos for that matter.
Dang! Tattooed may pass, but Mexican! Hold the shit load of shit right there! Am I right? Isn't being born on the wrong sector of a tiny ass blue point in the sky the worse?
But one thing we can agree is holy shit Lilo is dead?! Wow! Very sad. But please don't use the boyfriend's origins as a way to denigrate him. From pluto. The entire earth is Mexico for a few hours each day. Imagine the infinite volume of possible earth observation per unit time that is.
Oh I'm sorry. If he had been Asian then I would have said asian. If he had been from Finland I would have said Finnish. If he had been a penguin from Antarctica I probably couldn't have resisted mentioning that too.
But why? Also you realize Mexico is a country while Asia is a nondescript maybe continent that includes many different cultures.
My point is that being from a specific location doesn't apport anything to the rhetoric other than denigrate the people from that place. She had a boyfriend. Did he love her? Did he hurt her, was he abusive or the hero? Those are the real questions. Oh by the way he's 6' tall and drives a black Toyota doesn't help. Oh he's Mexican! Of course that also doesn't help answer the question. Not all Mexican 6'tall guys who drive Toyotas drive a truck or beat up their wife's or girlfriends. That's my point, it's just useless info that makes it sound like being Mexican suddenly makes you the bad guy.
Him being a tattooed Mexican isn't as concerning as him most likely being a fellow addict who may or may not be using her status and illness/death to get some money for drugs.
Or
He could be genuine and genuinely wanted her to have comfort during her last days.
I was skeptical because of how he used her traumatic past and her illness to get money while having the main pic on the fundraiser be a big picture of him and her kissing, with most of her face pushed out of the frame.
It just struck me as super friggin bizarre choices and reading about what her former manager said about this guy, it seems to confirm my gut feeling.
But him being Mexican doesn't matter at all. Addicts are addicts. He might even be a great person who's become an opportunist due to his own addictions. It's a rough world when you're an addict. Empathy and human connection takes a backseat to addiction at every step.
He was her Skid Row buddy. When people end up there, they are just steps away from ending up in the dumpster, literally and figuratively.
And what part of that had anything to do with her boyfriend being Mexican? Why did you bring that up? Why was that so important to you to fixate on?
You need to get over that word. I said that word once and you can't get over it. Get over it.
I wouldn't have to repeat my question if you didn't keep dodging and downplaying how weird that comment was.
Which has nothing to do with him being Mexican, or having tattoos....
