Thank the Christian god it wasn’t a male passerby. There might have been a lawsuit! That respectable gun owner might have lost his freedom stick.
He’s likely to lose it after this. It’s illegal to keep a loaded shotgun in a car in his jurisdiction

Edit: nevermind, misread another article.
If there were any discrimination in that sentence, it's supposed to evoke more outrage than if a man died, not less. But more likely it's just reporting what limited facts they have and are allowed to print.
