On Tuesday, May 19, the U.S. House passed H.R. 2616, the "Stopping Indoctrination and Protecting Kids Act," by a vote of 217-198. The bill would hand the Trump administration enormous leverage to strip federal funding from any school that “teaches or advances concepts” related to transgender people, codifying into federal law the anti-trans definitions from Trump's executive order 14168, "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism." It would also require public schools to forcibly out transgender students to their parents before using their pronouns or chosen names. The bill is significant on its own terms for the harm it would inflict on transgender youth if it became law. But what made Tuesday's vote especially notable was the eight Democrats who joined every Republican to pass it—the largest Democratic defection on any standalone anti-trans bill of this Congress.

Please explain how "both sides are the same" =/= "whatabought the other team"

There is almost never a third option.

One side can be shamed, and sometimes even does a good thing. The other side..... 99.9% turbo evil.

Guillotines will not make life better. North Korea ended up with work camps and famine. China ended up with work camps and famine. The Soviet Union ended up with gulags and famine. See the trend?

Even France, the OG, Ended up with the Terror, then Napoleon, and they were so traumatized they went back to monarchy.

Calls for Guillotines are calls for mass death and usually secret police and famine. Nobody can ensure that the "right" people will suffer the violence and you definitely can't promise that only the guilty will suffer from the secret police and starvation.

If you think the status quo is as bad or worse than the terror I welcome you to kick it off. There are plenty of other Mario characters we can name you after.

    They are just doing the bare minimum in order to create the illusion that there is a second option.

    Both completelly hate your guts, and want to see the poor killed off.

    Now, voting democrat shows them that there is some resistance, so they back off for a while.

    They are just doing the bare minimum in order to create the illusion that there is a second option.

    They aren't that smart.

    Both completelly hate your guts, and want to see the poor killed off.

    They have lots of desires, because they are hundreds and thousands of individuals. They aren't that united.

    Now, voting democrat shows them that there is some resistance, so they back off for a while.

    They have a theory of what Americans want, and they only pass what the stupidest, greediest member of their legislative body thinks. That's why it seems malicious. To get good things to happen, you need to move the floor of the elected party.

    Threatening violence can help with that, like the black panthers. Or Blair mountain. But that way lies great personal risk.
