i'm learning touch typing at 24 and it fucking sucks dude. but i'm at a pretty consistent 53wpm w minimal errors. i'm at a wall with it though, wish i learned it years ago.
you'll probably work through that plateau some day. it's great to learn how to do, cool to see someone making the effort to go back and pick that up.
well i'm working remote now, a lot of jobs want 60wpm lol. also i always knew the way i typed was really inefficient, and would result in my hands cramping after a while of doing it. my home row was WASD and my other hand would literally just float LOL
Both of my hands float tbh but I've been typing on computers since I was a kid, I got an F on form and an A in everything else when I had to take typing lessons in elementary school.
I'm trying to touch type this out now and it's super slow.
i'm not a great example, for whatever reason it just clicked pretty quick with me i only started learning this year
