What's unique is that we've witnessed the masses perception of reality disalign with business propaganda. These speeches used to tell new grads to work hard and become entrepreneurs and that propaganda was (and largely still is) simply accepted as neutral advice, but the ai slopaganda is so obviously bad and the ruling class has become so openly incompetent and people's material conditions are noticeably getting worse and all of these things have resulted in this particular manifestation of the ruling class' desires being rejected.

I dont think most people believe that here, the issue is the implementation really - If the upper class, like they have in China guaranteed no worker would be replaced by AI shit like this wouldn't be an issue because the roll calls would still be read by 'an actual human being' rather than just used as a measure to get rid of someone who would be employed.
