[–] ExtraMedicated@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago (5 children) I'm playing Withering Rooms again. It's such a work of art. permalink fedilink source hideshow 5 child comments replies: [–] Coelacanth@feddit.nu 3 points 4 months ago (4 children) It's one of my favourite games I've played this year. I still think Titanium Court edges it, but Withering Rooms is surely second. It's unbelievable to me that it isn't more of a household name. I truly cannot wait for Withering Realms in September. What build are you doing this time? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] ExtraMedicated@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago (3 children) I missed that question earlier. I generally go for health + speed + physical strength, but put a few points on each of the other attributes too. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 3 child comments replies: [–] Coelacanth@feddit.nu 3 points 4 months ago (2 children) I did the Luck build and it was super busted. Also nice to get tons of items and resources from all the Luck. Next run I'm planning on trying the ranged build, I feel like it could be powerful (although takes a while to come online). I also want to try a full caster build, especially in NG+ with the extra spells. Harvest Field was still crazy strong even with like 0 spell power investment. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] mysticpickle@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 months ago (1 child) The only thing that sucks about ranged is having to rely on jars early on. Haaaate it when they run just a bit too close and you eat the splash damage 🤬 permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] Coelacanth@feddit.nu 2 points 4 months ago Yeah, definitely something that could be much smoother respeccing into for NG+ rather than starting out as. I also imagine having to top up up ammo all the time might get a little annoying. You get some NG+ toys that are bound to be fun and powerful for ranged characters, though.
