What are your thoughts?

The author raises some good questions about the licensing of the core utils.

@ZombieCyborgFromOuterSpace The details are faded in my mind now, but the release which brought the Unity UI was pretty derided.

There were still alternatives. You still had choice. There was Ubuntu Gnome, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, etc.

Now no matter which one you pick, you get Snaps shoved down your throat.
