Anybody had any experience with Age verification on pron sites? (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

I'm curious to know what kind of hoops people have to jump through to verify their age to watch porn?

I mean, how is age verified without identity verification and/or risk of privacy breaches? Do phones or emails get notifications or alerts? Do you have to do it each and every time et al?

I supposed I'm puzzled as to why anyone would risk watching porn if an app or entity is out there 'verifying' something, and (presumably) these things can be exploited or hacked.

I'm also assuming (hoping) that there are some hackers out there who are working on a workaround or add on.

Since this is a piracy community, you should know that the best websites for anything don't adhere to these types of laws. I'm always surprised by the number of people who don't bother to look beyond the mainstream options (wikis exist for a reason) and either cave to whatever is being enforced or desperately look for ways to circumvent it. You don't have to play that game at all.
