It goes deeper than that... VW was part of the German Industrial machine that eventually arrested and killed off a significant portion of jewish people during WWII, and they are now building missles to defend(?) Israel, a nation-state that resulted pretty much directly from that other war. I guess the People Car is now Volksrakete instead.
