That’s actually what really frustrates me with Fabric of the Universe—all their designs look so damn good, until they put their logo and name on everything ever, breaking any sort of immersion and diegetics.

    Putting your name, brand, logo all over everything is kind of normal in fashion tho. Heck not just fashion.

    My main issue is their price to quality ratio.

    I mean, I specifically avoid anything with text or logos.

    I feel like if I’m trying to create a look that has a point, splattering a brand name over myself ruins that.

    Not a single logo in sight. It would detract from the aesthetic.

    Fair enough. I could go either way.

    I think FotU is going for that mecha derived look that is quite popular. Which borrowed for military aircraft. Lots of writing, warnings, symbols and so on.

    Stuff like this: Which is just a decal sheet for generic sci-fi.

    Throwing their name in there is just a small step. You even kind of see that on the car side of things with brand logos everywhere.

    I wish it wasn't brands though cus I don't wanna be a billboard....

    The pricier the clothes, the more invisible the logos are.

    Not necessarily true. Some of the most expensive brands are all about showing the brand off as a sign of wealth and exclusivity. See: LV, chanel, Gucci as obvious examples, Ferrari, Tag, Hermes, Dior, so on as less obvious but still very brand forward.

    Companies love using people as walking ads. You even pay them to do it instead of the other way around. It's genius but sad.

    I think those are mid-rich brands. Meanwhile someone like Zuckerberg is wearing t-shirts of a brand of which no one here has heard.

    Pretty sure those are just cucinelli. Not that expensive in the grand scheme of quality clothing. Ridiculous for the average person unless you care that much about having high quality clothes, but only about $300.

    Though there are better values for quality out there like maybe kiton or LP. None of these are the style to be like brand forward. More meant to be staple low mental effort stuff then statement pieces.
