I’d rather be uncomfortably cold for the 15 minutes I spend outside than uncomfortably hot for the majority of the time inside.
Or lose my jacket because I don't want to be uncomfortably hot.
Coats can be a pain when you are going somewhere you can't hang them up. But if you are hot indoors during the winter in long pants you should probably consult someone. Unless you are visiting your aunt Edna who keeps her house at 80F

It’s the contrast I think. -20c outside, keep it at 19c at home then go to a public place and they keep it at 23-24c for some reason. No wonder I feel like I’m being slow roasted.
