Communicator will be powered by the Dimensity 8300 (MT8883)

No custom rom support then. MTK doesn't release kernel sources.

    It makes it more of a challenge but there have absolutely been a few Mediatek ROMs. Example: https://www.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-8-pro-custom-development-lineageos-17-1-google-camera-port-pixel-experience/
