Cats' internal temp is a bit warmer than ours - like 101 or 102F. Lots of blood vessels near the surface in a butthole, so it's warmer than most other areas, though would expect it to be slightly cooler than internal. Not 8 degrees cooler though. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] psud@aussie.zone 17 points 8 months ago 101 or 102 38° permalink fedilink source parent [–] Wildmimic@anarchist.nexus 9 points 8 months ago (2 children) Human external skin temp is around 32°C on the hands, so i'd say 34,6°C for the cats butthole sounds about right permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Asfalttikyntaja@sopuli.xyz 6 points 8 months ago (1 child) You mean, you can warm up your finger in the cat’s butthole? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] Wildmimic@anarchist.nexus 11 points 8 months ago only by 2 degrees, i don't think it's worth the blood loss permalink fedilink source parent
