I'm sure its just a "still cis tho" joke.
But was pretty surprised when my mom asked me like a year into me taking HRT if I knew HRT would change my body shape the way it did as if she had just learned about it and thought I would be surprised by the effects? Like... what did she think HRT was for? Since then, she's seem a lot more interested taking T though.
A great many people believe males and females are two different species, fundamentally different through some divinely appointed distinction deeper than science can penetrate. They don't realise how mechanical the world is, and how easy to change with the right understanding.
