Obvious ragebait aside... the guy thought he was going to lunch to talk about salary, and recorded the conversation? Something smells a bit fishy there. The rest seems like standard rich people and corporate bullshit that sadly happens at all big corps. So it isn't really all that suprising.
There’s some sort of lawsuit with retaliation over whistleblowers/racism, and I think the guy was recording to make sure that any salary promises were documented. The whole situation seems fucked.
I don't understand people who don't try to document or record anything work or business related. They're not your friends, and handshakes don't always hold up in court.

Most of the time documenting things doesn't matter. It's very expensive to try and sue billion dollar companies. And if your name gets out, your job prospects drop dramatically. Sadly, proof doesn't get you very far toward justice. The system is designed to protect commerce, not people.
