I get the enthusiasm, and that is absolutely the first instinct. But that also is exactly what ICE wants. That gives them grounds for escalation.

As bad as this video is, AND IT IS BAD, this woman was set free a few hours later. She's alive, and still free.

If everyone starts shooting ICE, they won't attempt to capture their subject. They'll just engage every encounter guns blazing.

I'm not saying that ICE has never shot a target. I am saying I've never seen nor heard of ICE begining the encounter straight away by shooting. I don't believe that is the norm for them, and I do think they'd love to jump out of their vehicle shooting. They would love to litter the streets in blood and corpses.

Until we actually officially start the second civil war, it's best not to escalate. Just film them. Distribute the videos. Expose their identities. Expose their crimes to the world.

But don't give them a reason to defend using murder as a first response.
