This feels a little like post hoc rationalization. I mean, I don't exactly disagree with you, but Charlie boy getting killed is a good thing. God knows a lot of good people wanted him dead. I agree it's better if it does indeed turn out to have been CHUD on CHUD violence, but I wouldn't have disavowed a comrade either.
Kirk is replaceable, this accomplished very little besides producing funny memes (which I do appreciate) and terrifying people like Shapiro

I don't know where it is anymore but in a thread I was just looking at someone asked that as well and they posted an nbc article corroborating that journalists tweet, if that helps
