MODERATORS
Wasn’t the idea that this button was put in in anticipation of AI looking at things being a future use case? It sounded like Apple was anticipating people wanting quick instant access to AI analysis of anything you point your camera at. Basically, being able to grab your phone and raise it while pressing the button and you would be poised to make your query.
Did I hallucinate this like an LLM?
That’s an actual use case, not future. Camera Control enables quick access to visual intelligence.
Oh good, I’m not crazy then. I’m still on a 12 mini.
You need to hold the camera button down to active visual intelligence which many people might not know.
