"Turning into" lol. The USA and all their partner countries like the ones in the 5 Eyes program have all been mass techno-surveillance states for decades.

    The 5 eyes countries are not allowed to spy on their own citizens, but they can freely share data.

    Isn't there an obvious loophole here.
