The stems and leaves are virtually tasteless and make eating strawberries easier. They even have nutritional value!

Well yippee, that's handy. I have eaten apples whole for years, the same thought never occurred to me for strawberries.

    Hopefully you spit out the seeds? They contain amygdalin, a substance that releases cyanide when it comes into contact with human digestive enzymes. A few apples worth of seeds isn't enough to kill you or anything, and the seeds are apparently safe if you swallow them whole.
