I guess to be fair I was never really a stickler for any particular method; I’m just a lot more open to a lot of them.

    Your lemmy instance probably defederates from them, so you don't see their comments. They are a bunch of communists that many others don't care for and pre-emptively disconnect from.

    Personally, I appreciate their perspective and generally am glad to see the discourse.

    Maybe, I am extremely new to Lemmy so I didn't know if that was a place, thing, or person.

    So are/is hexbear a communist fourm, or a communist group?

    As far as I know, hexbear.net is a similar Lemmy instance same as midwest.social (yours) or lemmy.sdf.org (mine). Hexbear has a general focus of communism -- though that feels very reductive and I don't mean leave it at that, I just don't have the skill or care to do any better.

    Due to various groups (instances) politics, they are often disconnected-from (defederated).

    I don't know if I did a good or bad job explaining this cuz I'm a little drunk, but I hope it's been at least a little bit helpful
