You know how you go to your favorite bar, your local bartender isn't there.
You ask, "Where's Stamets?"
"Stamet's no longer works here. I'm ummthatguy."
And you're thinking "Hey who's this idiot? I like Stamets."
But you still want your drink. And even though ummthatguy doesn't mix your drink the same way you're used to, like Stamets, you still like the bar. You don't have to go to a different bar. And even ummthatguy might feel kinda bad because Stamets trained him. Stamets showed him how to work the cash register, where the tonic was on the soda gun, who tips, who doesn't.

What little I've picked up is that the combination of life stress and social media induced stress came to a head. So they cut themselves loose and left. It's a bummer, but I hope doing so will help them be well.
